A2. Liquid Earth - The Breakdown (Trips & Skips Mix)
B1. Liquid Earth - The Breakdown The Closer
B2. Liquid Earth - Cobblestone Stomper

    RELEASE INFO:

The second in a series of self-released Liquid Earth Physical Records, “The Breakdown” is a front flip into curbside clubbing.

The Aside offers two impeccably tight mixes of the 12” title tune, both providing different licks of pleasure for the casual clubber. “Charms Of Gaia” is forward leaning, equipped with big room, big energy type vocal breaks. “Trips & Skips” is an ode to the stripped down wigglyness of one of UK Tech House’s greatest, Nathan Coles – a clear influence of Mr. Earths.

From here, we are sat next to the two black sheep of the 12” on what seems like the most pleasurable road trip of a record. B1 being the beefed-out break tune titled “The Closer” and B2 the straight and narrow slammings of “Cobblestone Stomper,” a track surely given its holy legs by the OG Jerusalem Cruiser.

What you won’t find on this record is senseless filler, instead, you’ll surely be pumping your face with the permanent botox that is Liquid Earth. Now let’s see that smile!

Three originals from the dynamic duo, and a remix from Bizarre Trax beatmaker oliver.r. Mysterious tales of curiosity, maneuvering between stripped back sounds, and otherworldly textures.
Sitting firmly as the A1 is “Major Minor”, bubbling synths teasing you towards the chugging drive of the track, meticulously arranged to create a well rounded trip. Felon5 member oliver.r addresses a more housey direction with his remix, cruising on an elastic groove implementing the blissful pads from the original.
Shuffling drums lead the way in “Chemicals Between Us” conversing with the shimmering elements, rounding off the EP is further mind stretching material in the form of “Lepa Igra”.

The final installment in the planet love trilogy unveils yet another three DAT-retrieved compositions, conceived by Marco Repetto at axodya between 91 & 92.

D.o.c. e.p. drips heavily from melancholy. The wayward blend of joyous piano-arrangements, bittersweet pads, bleep, organ, groovy basslines, samples and 909, demonstrates the young producer’s more elate side, and underlines his inordinate ability to diversify.

It is with great pleasure that return_backspace resurrects some of Repetto’s most treasured compositions, and presents to the world the unadulterated future sound from the golden age of electronic music.

    RELEASE INFO:

For the third release on Global North, DJ Pipe teams up with Crawley wunderkind Taslo to summon DJs and punters alike into their “Motion Suite”: celebrating a partnership galvanized during countless misspent hours on the dancefloors of Berlin, Tisno and beyond.

A1 “Realtime Bounce” gets things moving with slick tribal-house rhythms, fevered exhortations and a folder-full of stabs: not stopping for breath yet still keeping it deep. Bouncy and boisterous “Palladium” marries the sacred resonance of the S900 with undulating sub-bass squelch, making it a certified winner in rooms of all shapes and sizes. Pure momentum!

GN03’s flip side continues to deliver sustained bang for your hard-earned buck, with the oily, viscous grooves of “Moonshine” tumbling into your lugholes to deliver a fast-paced and dynamic tech-house cut. B2’s sensual “Shake It” rounds off the collection with heavily swung snares, strung-out chords and plenty of analogue delay – a supremely versatile deep house cruiser with the subtlest hint of melancholy.

Another refined, massively playable slab from Global North – and probably not the last you’ll hear from Pipe + Taslo… enter the Suite.

    A1. Tywi - Reality Checkpoint
A2. Tywi - Reality Checkpoint (Maruwa Remix)
    B1. Tywi - Spellbound
B2. Tywi - Laws Of Motion

    RELEASE INFO:

Duality Trax first opened its books in 2020 with an EP featuring Radiant Love regular Fio Fa and a remix of the year contender coming from Lisbon’s Violet. Since then the label has become known for its acute attention to detail, giving each release the shine it deserves while avoiding disposable practices and challenging the industry through its dedication to duality and balance, whether that be sonically or surrounding gender identity. It’s really no surprise that one of house music’s leading label ¦gures Tywi was destined to make an appearance. Having started the Haŵs imprint in his home city of Cardiff, the label’s wide-spread popularity began to gain the attention from some of the industry’s most respected heads and became a breeding ground for new artists to emerge. A shared love of music resulted in tracks being shared over time and eventually DUALITY6 was born. In what will be his ¦rst full length EP, Tywi continues to join
the dots between 90’s house, prog, breaks and trance, with a huge remix coming from Frankfurt-based artist Maruwa. Title track ‘Reality Checkpoint’ connects various styles with a modern take on progressive trance. Sonics feel as if they’ve been projected from space in a kaleidoscopic mind-warping ride, coupled with the producer’s impressive ear for world building soundscapes. A child of the ‘90s, Maruwa combines her classically trained ear with the nostalgia of her upbringing in the remix; channeling early trance records and deep, chugging rhythms into a wave of euphoria ¦t for peaktime. It’s the ¦rst time the label has also delved head ¦rst intofull trance territory, turning the intensity levels up while paying homage to both label owner and artist’s early musical in§uences. The B side opens up with ‘Spellbound’ which feels like a guided tour around the cosmos, sat beside trusted travelers and embraced by everything-will-be-alright energy . The track’s interior is built around synths that feel both effortless and light as our tour guide brings us towards our ¦nal destination. The EP comes to a close with ‘Laws Of Motion’, building slowly with shades of leafy greens and deep oceanic blues as it gently brings us back down to earth.

    RELEASE INFO:

Holly Lester’s Duality Trax Label has quickly become synonymous for its blend of future facing sonics and mind- warping melodies, served together with a healthy dose of nostalgia. A label just as focused on making danceoor destroyers as it is exploring left-leaning, personal projects, it’s within this duality where the label has found its success, never afraid to shy away from b side oddities or tracks edging more towards good-old-fashioned-fun. DUALITY5 steers towards the latter, with Manchester based DJ & producer Aiden Francis providing the serotonin on tap with three lively danceoor cuts, including a huge remix from Italy’s Matisa. Aiden had a big 2022, releasing music on Magic Carpet, Gestalt and beloved music platform and label Houseum, solidifying himself as one to watch in the euphoric unity of house, trance and techno. Title track ‘Plastic Fantasy’ is the star of the show, a suitably sassy roller that places everyone’s favorite blonde icon front left of the speakers. Subtle old school strings contrast with alien electronics, providing familiarity in an otherwise unfamiliar world. A bubble-gum vocal then rolls in cheekily over a driving bassline and dynamic percussion – used in a way I’m not sure the original creators had in mind. ‘Future Proof’ meanwhile demonstrates Aidens’ knack for contemporary progressive house music. With warm pads, swirling sonic textures and moments of blissful euphoria, it’s energetic enough to move a danceoor, but gentle enough for home listening too. The record comes to a close with ‘Aquamarine’,
    Track
with Aiden opting in favour of free owing breakbeats and mind expanding synths, together radiating a feeling of warmth and hope for days to come. Italian DJ and producer Matisa is on hand to round the EP off with a bass-heavy rendition of ‘Plastic Fantasy’ a no-holds-barred speed garage licked stomper, with the power to lure smokers back inside the club with their feet rmly planted on the danceoor.
