M.E.R – Montevideo Electric Recordings is an Uruguayan record label named after its capital city, Montevideo. Supporting vinyl’s cultural heritage, this was the chosen format for releasing their work. For its third release they present the debut for the label of two local artists. One track from one of the minds behind the project : Cabanelas, with a hypnotic techno track for the dancefloor. Also debuting, M.E.R proudly introduces a great Uruguayan artist, Hernán González as Two Phase U.
Two tracks from the label’s roster Juan Dairechsion and Santiago Uribe, both showing a different side of their productions and musical imprint complete the release.

We’re utterly excited to welcome again Scott Featherstone on OCD after his first outing on The Secret Sun under his moniker Beyond A Voice.
Scott’s spirit while making music is quite possibly the purest we’ve ever found until today: completely free in his approach to music, ingenuous and without prejudices, to our eyes he makes music like a kid discovers the world setting his productions free from any conformity. And he’s a master in his craft.
We’re extremely grateful to have been able to dug through his DATS (some of which are 25 years old!) and to compile this EP that we feel encompasses the spirit of House Music in some of its most emblematic and varied facets. -

Helena returns with its 7th release, this time from Uruguayan alchemist Fede Lijtmaer.
Each of the three originals shows off his flair and musicality, be it the switch-up drum patterns and delicate keys of ‘Só Um Momento’, the more deliberate swagger of ‘Serendipia’ or the mutating synth line that weaves its aleatoric way through ‘Somewhere’ – everywhere shades of Steve Pickton, Casey Tucker, and other early UK proponents of the Detroit sound.
Finally, compatriot and friend [email protected] remixes ‘Somewhere’, taking familiar but unexpected elements (Chicago house drums and Mathew Jonson synths) and turning them into something entirely modern.
