In this last 2021 Edition of our Record store owner Podcast Series, we are blessed to onboard the one and only Gustavo Cardenas, a foundational member of our close friend Marla Records store.
Always immersed in different projects, Gustavo co-founded Panea Records and is a current resident in the “Schlau” parties.
Spending his youth in Valencia and learning from illegal raves, Gustavo moved to Berlin and instantly changed the way he perceived the electronic music scene. Highly influenced by the underground dj’s at the moment he embraced the importance of the 12” in the city, which has clearly drafted a path in his career.

Korrekt Places Nº 2 - LUDOVIC
We are excited to be back with the second episode of “Korrekt Places”. This time we travel to the heart of Lima, Peru to unveil a talent worth paying attention to.
We are glad for having on board French-Peruvian Ludovic. Founder of the Hotbox Peru parties and co-founder of record store Chimuelo Records. Former and resident at Fuga Nightclub (Lima), also known as Muchos Alias (his digital adventure on bandcamp).
For more than a decade, he contributed in the growth of the scene that the city of Lima experienced and played his role a promoter and dj, sharing his vision along the way. Always true to himself, he managed to Glide throughout the recent trends of electronic dance music and he’s able to play a wide range of genres. After the closing of Fuga Nightclub he partnered with Denizer to begin what has started as a hangout place for vinyl lovers in their city, giving birth to Chimuelo Records.

Korrekt Places Nº 1 - Ideograma
Our launch edition is kicked off by Ideograma, the most electro version of Flavio Martin Tortora (also known as DJ F) a real Madrid treasure that has been active since 1991. His selection makes him a connoisseur of rarities like few with an exquisite taste and audacity for mixing, where he effectively combines all of the above. He is also the curator of the label ‘Prayers For The Long Life’ and released on others such as ‘Semántica’ and ‘Freebeatm Turbocapitalism’.
Flavio, besides holding 25+ years experience and worked in more than 7 record shops, founded “Recycled” 5 years ago, a beautiful store located in the legendary Calle de la Palma 39, with vast history connected to the Records world in Madrid.
So now you know, whenever you are in Madrid don’t miss the chance to visit his shop! You will have the pleasure of being served by a real Melomano 🙂
