B2. Orgy (Sir Real's Broken Mix)
Based in the heart of Barcelona, Baldo’s Physical Education imprint continues its stellar run-of-form this autumn, delving deep into the archives with the re-issue of Moondog’s obscure 1997 classic: Vegas Or Burst EP.
A welcome selection of vintage dancefloor cuts, the four-track release epitomises the late-nineties sound through and through. From the fast-paced tones of Doyuu, to the devilishly danceable Fever, this rare gem is a masterclass in glitchy, tech-driven house music.

Roza Terenzi – Stylish Tantrum [Step Ball Chain 001]11,25 € excl. VATTRACKLIST
A2. Stylish Tantrum
B1. Chosen Family Feud (w/ D. Tiff)
B3. Sxc-Saloon (w/ Saoirse)
Popping The Cherry of 2020’s latest modern-contemporary record label; Step Ball Chain, is Roza Terenzi with “Stylish Tantrum”. Suggestive title to set the tone; the 5 track EP insisting sharp, sassy, high-tempered bombs with full bodied bounce. Unexpected tempo and timing variations, flared-up bpms, half time drum cuts and slicked modular flourishes, Terenzi’s signature cheek ramps up to an extra twisted club climate, atmospheric and evocative in texture as always. Featuring collaborations with D. Tiffany and Saoirse, the release covers extended dancefloor territory, assertive anthems delivering femme finesse, choreographed to perfection.
The A side fires up with an exuberant 4-by-4-2-the-floor routine, Cosmology. Vocal cuts from the queen Fiorella, billowing bells and dramatic synthetic sweeps to form fluidity over the tight bouncy low end. Whilst flirtatious melodic notions come and go, zip-lock percussion and commanding drumwork hold it down; squeaky steeze not-so-politely letting you know what’s to come. Deceivingly dubwise introductions soon furiously interrupted with Stylish Tantrum. Ricochet rhythms and bone breaking clap backs echo around your head, electrifying percussive fills and vocal spills snatching your attention before the everything glues together vicious harmony, baseline pulsating underneath a whiplash drum display – one for the dangerous deejays.
Chosen Family Feud opens the B side, a collab with seasoned associate D. Tiffany, showing off a bossy stomping brigade. Mumbling voices, waspy sirens and spooked out synth lines haunt the beginnings of the track, stripping back to a bassline breakdown before wailing vocals and clattered percussion take over, cymbals bursting. B2 is a moment to reflect, Illusions brings the energy down, low slung metallic backbeats thrown over encompassing, effortless pads and soaring resonance. The downtempo atmosphere crept up on by a double time d’n’b re-jig, softly gliding in over the growling sub, chopped breaks reflecting and falling. Closing out the record is another joint effort, recorded in Melbourne with Saoirse; Sxc saloon dashing back to the dancefloor, hot and deep. Throbbing bass married with slick galloping drums, sensuous fleeting whispers looping to draw you into hypnosis before a climactic tempo plummet intended to turn heads.

The Berlin-based producer showcases his skills across four tracks that cover a large spectrum of moods and grooves. The K1ll_R1cH_3rr03 EP, like the title may suggest, indeed takes on early ’90s cyberpunk aesthetics: from the retro futurist bleep fest of ‘Da3m0ns’ on the A side, followed by the frantic 303 acid wobble of ‘Ones – & – Zer0es’ featuring Mr.Murray. On the flip, get a load of the euphoric west coast breaks on ‘V1ew-S0urce’.

Non-binary artist and producer peachlyfe emerges from the high-speed, forward-thinking Copenhagan Techno scene; known for their energetic approach to production coupled with an affiliation for peculiar rhythms and a desire to explore the outer reaches of dance music.
‘Creeper’ sets the standard; unveiling as a fast-paced, itchy and foreboding blend of highly charged kickdrums, rolling hats and sticky, palpitating synths. Nene H, a dynamic producer with strong ties to the Danish capital through her residency at one of the cites most loved parties ‘Endurance’, is on hand to remix- turning in a late-night tale that moves amidst the shadows.
The low-slung groove of ‘Trashman’ is as hypnotic as they come; the type of mind-bending composition that leaves you questioning what exactly just happened, bringing the A-side to a gripping close.
Industrial and brooding, ‘Burst’ opens the B-side with a bang, followed by ‘Elemental Friend’, a trance-leaning cut, blended with percussion that strikes down like metallic fists.

A1. Walk Walk
A3. Goddes Wlcoming A Soul
B1. Cold White
B1. Soul Evolution
A3. Do Not Cry
Junki Inoue presents the second release on his recently founded label SAISEI from prolific Japanese producer Takuya Sugimoto under his COLOGNe alias. Deep Talk EP features 6 tracks originally released on Japanese CD only label Viola in 1999 and is a snapshot of the elevated warped-techno meets IDM productions Sugimoto is so respected for.
Famous for releasing under many synonyms including COLOGNe, Web and Sammansa it was his EVA EP – the first release on FatCat Records in 1996 that stands out in his recording history. The tracks were in fact licenced from Syzygy Records in Japan, which was one of the main Japanese labels including Viola that homed his work during the 90s era he was most productive in. More recently German label Acido released The Sound There, a mini album of previously unreleased Web material recorded between 1994 and 1995 which was released last year in 2020.
Deep Talk EP presents 6 tracks of intelligent and elevated techno, which show the balanced and intricate approach Sugimoto applies to his output. It has all the warmth and positive essence of the 90s era of electronic music – combining deep and beautiful sounds with headsy and intricate constructions. This is the first time this music has been made available on the vinyl format.
SAISEI is a Japanese word which translates to ‘reproduction’ and ‘to play’ (as in playing records). Japanese culture is widely known for its traditional nature just as much as it is for being forward into the future and this label’s concept does justice to exactly that. Having started digging for records as early as 16 years old, Inoue delved into productions from 1990s Japan to uncover these native gems. SAISEI’s core concept is to recapture and reintroduce unique
pieces of Japanese electronic music onto vinyl, to an audience it never reached before as most of this music was only released in Japan.

A1. New Generation
A3. Spacer Worlds
B1. Tomorrows Bliss
B2. Digital Dreamscapes
B3. Higher State
Never one to be pigeonholed by genre, Parisian producer MiG-29 has been collecting records for nearly two decades now, extending his musical spectrum into disco, drum and bass, electro, breaks and progressive trance. His 90’s inspired productions have found their way onto labels such as La Chinerie, and now he joins the CYBERDOME family with 6 deep cuts that illustrate the artist’s personal eclecticism.
‘New Generation’ is a kaleidoscopic journey down the breakbeat river; soft pads, deep grooves and tripped-out electronics sound creating a deadly blend of MiG-29 influence. ‘Water Visions’ sticks with the deep aesthetic, this time opting for a techy progressive approach, with just enough trancey hands-in-the-air moments to keep the ravers wide-eyed.
As tempo slowly moves forward, ‘Spacer Worlds’ takes us on an intergalactic voyage through distant galaxies, its 4×4 bassweight crafting an epic dance tool, before the mood is completely flipped on the carnival-esque, trip-hop of ‘Tomorrow’s Bliss’.
‘Digital Dreamscapes’ sticks to the trip-hop vibe with an old Nightmare On Wax influence, before we’re thrust right back into the rave with a collection of mantras cast in colour, spirituality and zest.
