On behalf of re:discovery records, it is with great excitement that we announce the release of ‘Facil / Prototype909 – excerpts from 1993-1995’. This compilation
celebrates some lesser known tracks that featured our good friend Dietrich Schonemann in 2 of his amazing 90’s bands. Facil is his ambient dub project with the well
known Abe Duque. The other is the famous acid techno trio of Prototype 909 (with Taylor Deupree, Jason Szostek). These tracks have been hidden for far too long.
The Facil tracks includes the head bobbing ‘Tree Frog’, the ambient dub bomb ‘700X7’ taken from their full legth album while ‘Same Place’ is a compilation favorite
from those who knew Facil’s work then. Prototype 909 round out the EP with 2 techno tracks ‘Transit’ and ‘Planet S’. This jam packed EP is sure to make your chill
out room more enjoyable.

Reptant’s debut release on Die Orakel is an n-dimensional array of five seriously electro flavoured composites on vinyl (and digital, that is). For their second release, the Dublin-based label Space Shepherd follows through with this killer EP by D&S – comprised of two Dutch young men named Dennis and Stephan. Here the Rotterdam-based duo present four live jams produced entirely on hardware and taking in influences from Detroit as well as early British IDM. We were really feeling the futuristic aesthetic of high tech soul epic ‘Approaching Events’, the ominous electro sci-fi of ‘Historical Synopsis’ and the emotional sunset breaks of the title track – which ended this riveting EP on a perfect note.

A very well respected mainstay in the Spanish Techno scene, Alex’s career spans 3 decades under different production aliases and releases on seminal labels like F-Com, Klang Elektronik, PIAS, Cosmos Records, Minifunk, Boozoo, Pagoda Recordings, many of which are now sought-after collectors material.
Alex is a very good friend of the label since long and a while ago he shared with us his DAT archives filled with unreleased material from the early years of his career. It took us a while, but we are now ready to give him the rightly deserved space on our Secret Sun series.
